If you are one of the true believers, then you likely already know that pugs are one of the greatest dog breeds out there. Sure, they might have a few health issues that you’ll have to deal with throughout their life, but their cuteness far outweighs it.
And if you’re a connoisseur of small dog breeds, you’re likely already aware of how lovely and amazing French Bulldogs can be, too.
But what if… you could have both breeds in one dog?
Frugs
Although their breed’s name leaves a lot to be desired, Frugs really are the best of both worlds. Although each dog will be different – of course – you can assume that when you get a Frug, you will be getting a decent mix of both the parent breeds.
Appearance
Because of the varied coloration of their parent breeds, Frugs can turn out to be any mix of a wide range of colors (black, brown, tan, silver, cream, white, spotted, etc.), meaning that you might choose a puppy that is one color, only to find it turns a different color when it grows up.
Talk about a fun surprise!
Having said that, these dogs don’t necessarily “grow” up – they tend to be about the same size as their smaller parents, meaning that these dogs aren’t likely to grow taller than about 15 inches, and they won’t weigh much more than about 30 pounds at a maximum.
Temperament
Frugs are also an extremely intelligent breed and they’re very friendly, meaning that no matter what your family dynamic looks like, your Frug will quickly find a space for itself and become an instant part of the family.
Because of their high intelligence, Frugs are extremely easy to train and socialize, so you won’t have to worry about your Frug attacking or accidentally harming a new person that they meet. They are obedient and quick to follow orders, making them a perfect pet for your household and your family!
Health
Despite the potential for health concerns – all of which can be mitigated and handled with the help of an expert veterinarian and a lot of care on your behalf – Frugs tend to live for about ten years.
Although this is slightly shorter than some other small dog breeds, Frugs more than make up for it with their gregarious personalities and extremely excitable natures.
